10/29/24 Angels Top Prospect is Dominating in Arizona Fall League. It doesn't happen often, but sometimes the Arizona Fall League features a player who has already hit his first career major league home run. This is the case for Los Angeles Angels prospect Niko Kavadas, who returns to the desert this year following a whirlwind summer, which included a trade deadline move and a series of career firsts soon after. The deadline brings upheaval not only for major leaguers traded to boost their team's chances in a pennant race, but also for prospects sent in the opposite direction. “I flew from Worcester, Mass., to Tacoma, Wash., and met the Triple-A team, and I was there two and half weeks and I had finally started to get a vibe of what the organization was about, what the team was about,” Kavadas said.

10/13/24 Slugging LA Angels first baseman taking advantage of extra opportunity in AFL. Angels fans -- you should be tuning into the Arizona Fall League. The Mesa Solar Sox roster is comprised of at least one player who should contribute in 2025 and beyond. Niko Kavadas has a clear path to breaking spring training with the Angels, as the team is currently constituted. While the team vowing to increase spending in order to round out depth affects Kavadas' standing, he will assuredly be heard of again next season.

Kavadas, who was acquired in a July trade with the Red Sox, has been more aggressive at the plate after starting his career with a 3-for-38 slump, according to Manager Ron Washington. Kavadas says it’s been a matter of adjusting to the “crispness” of major league pitchers.

9/05/24 Angels' trip to Texas begins with a tough turnaround. The Angels might have looked a little blurry-eyed against the Texas Rangers in Thursday night's series opener. The team's chartered flight didn't arrive at DFW Airport until 4 a.m. local time, so the Angels didn't check into their hotel until nearly 5 a.m. The first team bus from the hotel to Globe Life Field left at 1:30 p.m. “I was asleep at like 6 or 6:30,” Angels rookie first baseman Niko Kavadas said.
