8/25/25 Boston Red Sox rookie pitcher leaves game with arm injury. Fitts looked down at his arm after throwing his first pitch in the sixth inning, a 94.2 mph outside fastball to Coby Mayo. Manager Alex Cora and head athletic trainer Brandon Henry rushed to the mound and immediately replaced him with lefty Steven Matz. Fitts sounded optimistic after Boston's 4-3 win over the Orioles.

8/08/25 Week 20 Fantasy Baseball Waiver Wire: Taj Bradley, Shane Bieber, And 11 More Targets. With the fantasy baseball playoffs around the corner, the waiver wire is packed with potential difference-makers. From power-hitting call-ups like Dylan Beavers and Coby Mayo to pitching reinforcements such as Taj Bradley and Shane Bieber, these Week 20 pickups can give your roster the late-season spark it needs. The Red Sox have gotten a lot of surprising mileage out of Carlos Narvaez this year, but he has been battling knee soreness this week. In addition, Navaez had only one hit over 23 at-bats while sitting four times over Boston's last seven matchups.

8/07/25 How this intense message is helping Coby Mayo improve with the Orioles. It's a stark contrast from how his major league story began. Mayo has often felt like the forgotten prospect amid the wave of young talent the Orioles have developed over the past three years. When he was called up last season, Mayo looked overwhelmed by major league pitching and couldn't carry over the success he had shown at Triple-A Norfolk, where he blasted 25 home runs and flashed elite power potential. In 17 games with the Orioles, he hit just .098 with 22 strikeouts and no home runs; it was a harsh welcome to the big leagues and a clear reminder of the gap between promise and performance.

8/06/25 Phillies doomed by 4th-inning Baltimore rally, fail to complete sweep of Orioles. Coby Mayo hit a three-run homer, Jeremiah Jackson doubled in a run for his first extra-base hit and RBI in the majors and the Baltimore Orioles beat the Philadelphia Phillies 5-1 on Wednesday. After the Phillies scored 18 runs in winning the first two games of the series, Baltimore left-hander Trevor Rogers (5-2) put a stop to it, allowing one run on eight hits with six strikeouts over six innings. Dietrich Enns pitched two scoreless innings and fellow lefty reliever Keegan Akin closed it out in the ninth for Baltimore.
