Brooks Lee and Christian Vázquez hit back-to-back home runs in the fourth inning and the Minnesota Twins beat the Toronto Blue Jays 6-3 on Sunday to avoid a sweep and snap a three-game skid. 5/28/25 | Twins snap two-game losing streak with 4-2 win over Tampa Bay. The Twins shook off back-to-back losses yesterday with a win over the Tampa Bay Rays, winning 4-2 and evening up the three game series. Minnesota got the scoring started early in the first inning when Brooks Lee drove in a run on a sac-fly, then in the second inning they would add another thanks to a Kody Clemens homerun that traveled 415 feet to center field. Tampa would try to chip away at the lead with a run in the fourth, but Minnesota would add some insurance in the sixth after an error allowed Ryan Jeffers to come home. After a Rays run in the seventh, Minnesota would add a little insurance on a Ty France single that would score Carlos Correa. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Brooks Lee hit an RBI single with two outs in the ninth inning to give the Minnesota Twins their second straight walk off against the Kansas City Royals, this time overcoming a four-run deficit for a 5-4 win on Saturday. Harrison Bader and Kody Clemens homered for Minnesota, which won for the 16th time in 18 games. Pinch-hitter Carlos Correa walked against Daniel Lynch IV (3-1) to open the Minnesota ninth and advanced to second two batters later when pinch-hitter Ryan Jeffers also walked.
