| 8/03/25 | Henning: How will Tigers address their sudden infield glut?. A few days ago, before the Tigers did their part to make the MLB trade deadline a frantic late-hours shopping spree, it seemed Detroit would deal one of its surplus upper-tier infielders, with heavy expectations built around Erie's Max Anderson, or perhaps one of those gents at Triple A Toledo, Jace Jung or Hao-Yu Lee. The Tigers dealt mostly young pitchers in their eight deadline swaps. Which is why Saturday night against St. Paul at Fifth Third Field, Lee was starting at third base, and Jung at second base, all while Anderson was taking his infield turns at Double A Erie.
