5/22/25 Brewers All-Star Officially Retiring After 12-Year MLB Career. Another former member of the Milwaukee Brewers is hanging up his cleats and retiring from Major League Baseball. It was shared earlier in the week that former Brewers infielder Kolten Wong was retiring. Fellow former Brewers infielder Jean Segura also announed his retirement this week, as shared by ESPN. "Jean Segura, a two-time All-Star infielder who hit .281 in a 12-year major league career with six teams, announced his retirement," ESPN shared.

Such was the case on Thursday morning as I was scrolling through "X" and came across a Seattle Mariners-themed Halloween decoration. It was posted by @GrffinNW and includes an M's-themed graveyard including some of the Mariners that have come and gone since the 2022 playoff run: Kolten Wong, manager Scott Servais, outfielder Jarred Kelenic and a tombstone labeled "Mariners playoff run." Ray was signed by the Mariners before the 2022 season, helping lead Seattle to those playoffs.

5/29/24 Former Dodgers Infielder, Multi-Time Gold Glove Winner Released by Division Rival. Former Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Kolten Wong has been released by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Wong had been playing for the Diamondbacks' Triple-A affiliate before he was released this week. The 33-year-old is now a free agent once again. A former first-round pick in 2011 by the St. Louis Cardinals out of the University of Hawaii, Wong made his MLB debut in 2013 for the Cardinals.

Longtime Cardinals infielder Kolten Wong signed a minor league deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks in April after a rough 2023 campaign with the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers. Wong appeared in 31 games with the Triple-A Reno Aces and hit two home runs, drove in 16 runs, and slashed .271/.339/.383 but was released by the Diamondbacks on Tuesday, according to MLB Trade Rumors' Steve Adams.
