6/30/25 | Orioles reset: Tony Mansolino isn’t buying into their poor defensive metrics. The Orioles haven’t graded out well by advanced defensive metrics this season. But Tony Mansolino isn’t focused on those numbers. Source: https://www.baltimoresun.com/2025/06/30/orioles-re... |
6/28/25 | Orioles players don’t want to be traded, interim manager says. The Baltimore Orioles have struggled this season, but Tony Mansolino's players are committed to turning things around this season. Source: https://sports.yahoo.com/article/orioles-players-d... |
6/26/25 | Orioles Skipper Says Team Is Fatigued After Almost Being No-Hit Again. The 2025 season has been an absolute gauntlet thus far for the Baltimore Orioles, and that's putting things lightly. Everything immediately went sideways for the Orioles right out of the gate, with both the offense and pitching staff falling woefully short of some rather lofty expectations. This abysmal start culminated with the team deciding to fire longtime manager Brandon Hyde after just 43 games, leaving third base coach Tony Mansolino with the duty of trying to get things back on track. To Mansolino's credit, the team has managed to correct course somewhat under his stewardship, but lingering consistency issues have continued to haunt a once elite lineup. 6/25/25 | Orioles Slugger Mentioned As Target for Reds Ahead of MLB Trade Deadline. The Baltimore Orioles have been playing better under interim manager Tony Mansolino, but their odds of making a run to the postseason remain incredibly long. While they aren't open for business yet, it feels like a matter of when, not if, the Orioles start making some moves as the most surprising seller ahead of the 2025 MLB trade deadline. Arguably, the most valuable of those players is designated hitter Ryan O'Hearn. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/orioles/news/orioles-slugge... |
6/23/25 | Orioles Star Reliever Tabbed As 'Great Fit' for Phillies Ahead of Trade Deadline. The Baltimore Orioles have been playing better baseball of late, but it feels like it is too little, too late for them to make the playoffs. In a deep hole from their abysmal play earlier in the season, interim manager Tony Mansolino has his squad playing at a higher level than they did under Brandon Hyde, but there is a lot of ground to be made up. Entering play on June 23, they are still in last place in the American League East, 12 games behind the New York Yankees, who won two out of three against the Orioles in a series this past weekend. 6.5 games back from the final wild card spot, Baltimore would have to jump six teams in the standings before even reaching the Cleveland Guardians in that final position.
