7/06/25 San Francisco Giants Place Former Cardinal On IL. The San Francisco Giants are 4-8 over their last 12, including a sweep at the hands of the Miami Marlins, dropping two of three to the Chicago White Sox, splitting a four-gamer with the Arizona Diamondbacks, and splitting the first two against the Athletics in West Sacramento. The effort to turn things around got a little harder this weekend, as they had to place their high-leverage bullpen lefty on the IL. Former Stanford Cardinal Erik Miller, 27, was placed on the injured list on Saturday with a left elbow sprain, the team announced.

7/05/25 Ray throws second career complete game as SF Giants split series in Arizona. The Giants went into their series finale at Chase Field with a bullpen in need of a breather. Wednesday night's 6-5 win, 10-inning win required manager Bob Melvin use five relievers: Erik Miller, Spencer Bivens, Randy Rodríguez, Tyler Rogers and Camilo Doval. Doval, in particular, threw two innings for the first time in three years, blowing a save in the ninth before locking down a win in the 10th. Melvin would've been happy if Robbie Ray went seven innings.

7/03/25 Ray throws second career complete game as SF Giants split series. The Giants went into their series finale at Chase Field with a noticeably depleted bullpen. Last night's 6-5 win, 10-inning win required manager Bob Melvin to use five relievers: Erik Miller, Spencer Bivens, Randy Rodríguez, Tyler Rogers and Camilo Doval. Doval, in particular, blew a save in the ninth before locking down a win in the 10th, throwing multiple innings for the first time in three years. With that backdrop, Robbie Ray gave the bullpen the entire night off.

6/08/25 SF Giants walk off Braves in 10 innings, win third straight game since roster shakeup. There are no adjectives in the win-loss column. The Giants did not do the things conducive to winning baseball on Friday night against the Atlanta Braves at Oracle Park. Birdsong and Erik Miller each plunked a batter. Ryan Walker allowed a game-tying, two-run homer to Matt Olson in the seventh inning.
