2/26/24 Yankees' Juan Soto drops truth bomb on Aaron Boone's big lineup decision. Aaron Judge reportedly wants to hit third in the New York Yankees ' 2024 lineup. But what does Juan Soto think about Aaron Boone 's potential lineup construction? He recently got brutally honest in reference to hitting second or third in New York's lineup, via Jon Heyman of the New York Post. “I don't care anymore,” Soto said. “In the past, [batting second] was uncomfortable. I liked third because I'd never done the two-hole. It was tough for me to do that. But I have experience in the number-two hole now [in San Diego last year], so that's going to be fine.” Soto and Judge have similarities in their offensive approaches. Both players find ways to get on base on a consistent basis. Soto is always
2/25/24 Juan Soto batting in front of Aaron Judge in Yankees' spring debut. Aaron Judge got his wish, at least for the Yankees' spring home opener. Aaron Boone decided to hit the center fielder third against the Blue Jays on Sunday. The chance to bat behind an on-base machine like Soto only intensified that desire.
2/24/24 Yankees' Aaron Judge drops spring training injury update for 2024 season. The New York Yankees have high expectations for the 2024 season following their difficult 2023 campaign. Health will play a pivotal role throughout the '24 season, and Aaron Judge provided an injury update in spring training after he suffered a torn ligament last year. Aaron Judge expects to continue playing the outfield for the rest of his career.
2/23/24 Yankees: Hal Steinbrenner on possibly paying Juan Soto more than Aaron Judge. Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees are currently in the midst of what figures to be somewhat of a transitional period for the franchise coming off of what was a relatively disappointing 2023 MLB season. Just a year after Judge set the all-time AL record for home runs in a season and led the Yankees all the way to the ALCS where they ultimately lost to the Houston Astros, New York missed the playoffs altogether this past season. Of course, the big story of the offseason so far for the Yankees was the acquisition of superstar Juan Soto from the San Diego Padres.
2/22/24 What Aaron Judge 'Preached' To Yankees About Alex Verdugo. Aaron Judge watched Alex Verdugo play for the Yankees' fiercest rival the last four Major League Baseball seasons. Verdugo and Judge now are teammates, as a rare Red Sox-Yankees trade back in December put the former in pinstripes. “I've been preaching for years, 'You gotta try to get that guy,'” Judge told reporters earlier this week, per the New York Post. The 2022 American League MVP wasn't the only Yankees team leader who wanted Verdugo in the Bronx.
