On Thursday, UCLA Athletics announced nine new members who will join its Hall of Fame, and former Bruin infielder, most notably known for his tenure with the San Francisco Giants, Brandon Crawford, was one of them. Crawford was drafted out of UCLA by the Giants in the fourth round of the 2008 MLB Draft. Crawford, at the time, hadn't announced his retirement, leaving a cloud of uncertainty hanging over that afternoon. On Saturday, Crawford will receive a proper celebration as the Giants will host “Brandon Crawford Celebration Day” in honor of one of the greatest shortstops in franchise history following his retirement this past offseason.
