7/18/24 Angels Starting Pitcher Should Be Trade Target For Cleveland Guardians. Time is running out for the Cleveland Guardians to add to their roster. MLB's trade deadline is just over two weeks away, and the Guardians still need one or two starting pitchers to help them finish off the regular season and for a potential playoff run. One pitcher who Cleveland's front office should target is Los Angeles Angels starter Tyler Anderson. Despite being in the twilight of his career, Anderson has a pitching run value of nine, ranking in the 83rd percentile.
7/17/24 Angels' All-Star Has Advice For Struggling Teammates. The Los Angeles Angels' rotation and bullpen have struggled mightily the last two seasons. The rotation has a 4.63 ERA (26th in MLB) even with Tyler Anderson and his 2.97 ERA pitching a team-high 118 innings. A two-time All-Star, Anderson's ERA ranks 12th in MLB.
7/16/24 Angel Notes: Strong Finish vs Mariners, and Which Draft Picks Will Be Fast-Tracked?. The Angels wrapped up their 2024 Draft on Monday, and now will look forward to Tyler Anderson taking his place on the field alongside the other American League All-Stars at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on Tuesday. The Angels chose pitcher Ryan Johnson with the 75th overall pick in the 2024 MLB Draft. The compensatory pick, received after Shohei Ohtani's departure, sets up a career of high expectations for Johnson. The Angels closed out the first half of their season on a strong note, winning three straight games against the Mariners.
7/15/24 Angels All-Star Tyler Anderson sets an example for young pitchers with his work ethic. Anderson, 34, had a 5.43 ERA last season, and this year’s he’s turned that around to the tune of a 2.97 mark that earned him a spot in the All-Star Game for the second time in his career.
7/14/24 Tanner Houck's All-Star Game selection a sign Red Sox are on right path with homegrown starters. “I might be wrong,” Cora said. Out of the 13 arms on the roster, that leaves Angels pitcher Tyler Anderson, White Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet, Royals pitcher Cole Ragans, and Tigers pitcher Tarik Skubal. Cora was more concerned with the significance of the Sox sending Houck, a homegrown starter, to the Midsummer Classic.
